Abstrakt

Hermetic reciprocating compressors are widely used in various applications, notably in household refrigeration systems, and a meticulous analysis of heat transfer in their components is required to identify inefficiencies and devise improved designs. The development of numerical simulation models for this purpose is challenging due to the need for complex solution algorithms. This paper details the creation of a specialized library using the Modelica language, aimed at simplifying the construction of thermal simulation models for these compressors. This library incorporates essential modules necessary for model building and facilitates heat transfer simulation within compressor components. It results in a detailed model capable of conducting an in-depth analysis of the compressor thermodynamic performance. The model ability to predict compressor temperatures under various operating conditions was corroborated through rigorous calibration and validation processes, involving comparative analyses with both experimental data sourced from existing literature and measurements obtained in the current study.
