Abstrakt
Different from the traditional reciprocating compressor, linear compressor depends much more on the control system to make sure of high efficiency and high reliability, since it is hypersensitive to the working conditions. Not only the piston stroke of linear compressor will change with the working conditions, but also the piston oscillation balance position will deviate from its initial position on the action of two-side pressure difference. The piston stroke change and oscillation balance position offset will both change the discharge capacity of linear compressor too. This unique characteristic makes it difficult for the control system to detect the discharge capacity of linear compressor.
In this paper, an on-line discharge capacity detection method for linear compressor is presented so that the capacity regulation control system of linear compressor can adjust its output upon the real working conditions. A mechatronic parameter is applied as the character for discharge capacity detection. According to the variation tendency of this parameter, the pumping point and the top dead centre (TDC) of the piston can be detected on-line. Then the discharge capacity of the linear compressor can be gained by comparing the relationship between the piston stroke, the pumping point and TDC. An experimental bench, as well as a simulation model is setup to verify the feasibility of this method. The investigation results show that the simulation prediction fits well with the experimental results. The real-time discharge capacity of linear compressor under different working conditions can be detected precisely.
