Abstract

In this paper, a new refrigeration compressor is introduced. This compressor, namely Multi-Chamber Rolling Piston Compressor (MCRPC), is designed to be more environmentally friendly and more energy saving.
Mathematical models consisting of geometry, dynamics, thermodynamics, flow and valve responses models have been formulated. Theoretical study has also been carried out to study the performance of his machine.
In this paper, effects of design parameters on the performance of the machine will be presented and discussed.
