Abstract
By application of low GWP refrigerants on the market, indirect emissions will be in focus for further environment improvements. Propane as natural refrigerant plays very important role in currently ongoing process of HFC phase down. It is environmentally friendly refrigerant not only due ultra low GWP reducing pollution from direct emissions but also by reducing indirect emissions. Due to its excellent thermodynamic properties, propane allows to design super efficient alternatives to old HFC products. This paper shows a case study of compact product development which significantly reduces energy consumption in light commercial refrigeration system.
